The Last Hurrah Reunion Information

This once in a lifetime music reunion will be the focal point of Mt. Hood Festival of the Forest on September 15 and 16 at Wildwood Recreation Site in Welches, Oregon.   A full weekend of music, family activities and gatherings of friends are being planned including evening music performances on both Friday (September 14) and Saturday night at the Skyway Bar and Grill, which is less than three miles from Wildwood Recreation Site.

Advance priced tickets are on sale now and limited lodging packages that include free reunion tickets are available in limited supplies.  Tickets are limited and carpooling is recommended.

Mt. Hood Festival of the Forest - Tony DeMicoli, former owner of Key Largo Nightclub and a friendly competitor of The Last Hurrah for many years, produces the Mt. Hood Festival of the Forest.  Tony has kindly offered to host our daytime Last Hurrah Reunion activities at his event.

Tony’s Festival of the Forest will feature 12 of The Last Hurrah’s favorite bands (or their current line-up) between noon and 6 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  Presented at a 550-acre natural woodland setting, the Festival of the Forest also features the Wild about Art artisan’s area featuring the hand-crafted artworks of various mountain artists, Forest Fun nature crafts and activities, and a variety of food vendors and beverage services (including beer and wine).   All food and beverages must be purchased on-site to comply with OLCC and Health Department requirements.

Forest Fun presented by USDA Forest Service

These fun, interactive exhibits feature a Forest Passport, Salmon Lifecycle game, and Cascade Streamwatch project.  Learn to track animals and build bird nests.  Also, meet Smokey the Bear and become a Junior Forest Ranger

Wildwood Recreation Site

Located in the foothills of Mt. Hood (at an elevation of about 1,500 feet), Wildwood Recreation Site is a 550-acre natural forest scenic area with miles of interpretive hiking trails and day picnic areas.  NO overnight camping is allowed in the Park.  Our reunion area includes: large open grass performance area, food court with a variety of food vendors, beverage stations (including beer and wine), artisan booths, forest education exhibits and family activities.  There are two large covered pavilion areas, kids playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and ADA accessible restrooms.  We also plan to have a display of Last Hurrah memorabilia and souvenirs plus band CDs.

Wildwood Recreation Site is situated between the Mt. Hood RV Village (with RV and Cabin rental sites plus many amenities) and turn off to the Resort at the Mountain.
